From Hotel Pickup to Landing: How the Jump Works

1. Pickup from your hotel and transfer to the drop zone in Manavgat.
2. Registration, where the team checks age, weight, height and health.
3. A 15–20 minute safety briefing covering body position, the exit from the plane and lifting your legs for landing.
4. About 20 minutes of climbing in the aircraft, with the coast, the Taurus Mountains and old Side below.
5. At 10,000 feet the door opens and you leave the plane together with your instructor.
6. Several minutes under the open canopy; if you wish, you can steer or the instructor adds a few turns.
7. Landing on the field and transfer back to your hotel.

What Freefall Really Feels Like

Many first-timers say sitting at the open door is the hardest part, not the fall. Once outside there is no roller-coaster stomach drop, just a powerful wind pushing up against you and a lot of noise.

The 40 seconds go by fast. When the parachute opens it suddenly turns silent, and you can take in the sea, the mouth of the Manavgat River and the mountains behind.

How Safe Is a Tandem Skydive?

The instructor handles the exit, stability in freefall, parachute opening and landing. Tandem rigs carry a main and a reserve parachute, and an automatic device opens the reserve if necessary.

Your job is to follow the briefing, hold the body position and raise your legs for landing. Jumps only go ahead when wind and visibility allow.

Skydiving Requirements and What to Wear

Who can jump

• Guests aged 18 and over.
• Body weight up to 95 kg and height up to 2.20 m.
• No serious heart, back or neck problems, no epilepsy and no pregnancy.
• No scuba diving in the 24 hours before the jump.

Clothing

Wear comfortable clothes you can move in and closed sports shoes with laces, and leave jewellery and loose items in the car. A jumpsuit, harness and goggles are provided at the drop zone.
