Turkey has very rich rivers and streams for rafting. Our country, where four seasons are experienced, is home to regions that receive abundant rainfall and whose rivers flow vigorously.
Below is a list of the best places and regions for rafting;
Artvin Çoruh River;
It is among the fastest known rivers in the world. It is among the best known rivers in Turkey, with its flow rate increasing in the spring months. Çoruh River, which has become a frequent destination for hundreds of thousands of people, makes an important contribution to tourism. There are 4 different rafting tour stages for professionals and amateurs and it has a large and wide track area of nearly 170 km.
Rize Fırtına Creek;
Fırtına Creek has a track area of approximately 25 km, starting from Çamlı Hemşin. The region, which has a steep and mountainous forest region, is home to fast current stages. Rafting tournament organizations are generally held in this region. The region has a natural beauty that fascinates professional and amateur rafters from around the world. The busiest rafting times are May and June.
Antalya Köprüçay Köprülü Canyon;
Köprü Çay, located in the Manavgat district of Antalya, takes its name from its famous arched stone bridge. In fact, there are two arched stone bridges in the region. The main bridge, thought to be built by the master and his apprentice, is the Buğrüm Bridge. The other bridge is the large arched bridge located over the stream just inside the canyon. For this reason, the name of the region is called Köprülü Canyon. The rafting course length of Köprülü Canyon Stream is 14 km. The water temperature is 9 degrees and since it comes from the water source, the temperature of the water is the same in summer and winter. It is a unique structure in the world, both in terms of its visuality and history. Rafting tourism in the region lasts approximately 9 months. The busiest months for rafting are April, May, June, July, August and September.
Muğla Dalaman Stream;
Dalaman stream has 2 different difficulty levels. Since it is close to the tourism area, it is a region preferred mainly by foreign tourists. The length of the river is close to 240 km. The places where rafting companies are located are generally in regions where the flow rate of water is more intense and they provide more exciting and entertaining tours to their guests.
Tunceli Munzur Stream;
Munzur Stream is among the most recently discovered regions for rafting in Turkey. With the end of terrorism in the region, service was provided mainly to local guests and they had a very enjoyable time. The approximate length of the track is 20 km and with the number of guests increasing day by day, it has taken its place among the streams where rafting can be done today.
